A major component of the company’s success is its ability to adapt to whatever challenges it is navigating through.

Neopestalotiopsis disease in strawberries remains a concern for producers, not only in Florida, but across the Southeast region. Natalia Peres and Vance Whitaker, professors at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Wimauma, Florida, provide a management update for the disease which will require an integrated approach.

The recent Florida Grower Citrus Show had a fresh look this year which generated rave reviews from attendees and exhibitors. The one-day event allowed exhibitors to treat attendees to tailgate-style foods in an outdoor trade show. It was held in between seminar sessions that focused on citrus, vegetables and the entire agricultural industry.

Matthew Cutulle, an assistant professor at the Clemson University College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences Coastal Research and Education Center in Charleston, South Carolina, discusses the use of anaerobic soil disinfestation as a potential new way to treat pathogens.
