Lake County Extension will hold a Farm Safety Day on December 14 at the University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Agriculture Center at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
The training is designed to educate workers on equipment safety, CPR and first aid, updates to the Worker Protection Standard, pesticide applicator safety and understanding label icons for the Globally Harmonized System.
Participants who complete the Farm Safety Day program will receive a certificate for the training.
The program will include lunch and a $25 registration fee. Please note that there will be no refunds. Registration can be found online at www.eventbrite.com.
