Heavy rains last week alleviated some of the abnormally dry conditions in North Florida. But Central and South Florida remain moderately dry as are South Georgia and South Alabama.

Moderate dry conditions are still being experienced in the Florida Panhandle from Escambia County eastward to Madison County. Levy and Marion counties are also moderately dry, which stretches as far south as Collier County.

More than half of Georgia is either moderately dry or abnormally dry. All of South Georgia is moderately dry. It starts in Early County along the Georgia-Alabama state line and stretches mostly along the Georgia-Florida state line eastward to Screven and Burke counties. If the counties are not moderately dry, they are abnormally dry. Those conditions are being felt as far south as Mitchell and Colquitt counties and go as far north as Warren and McDuffie counties.

Abnormally and moderately dry conditions are still isolated to the southern counties in Alabama. The southern portions of Mobile and Baldwin counties are moderately dry as are southeastern counties like Geneva, Houston, Coffee, Dale and Henry.

All of the central and eastern regions of South Carolina are either abnormally dry or moderately dry. The central part of North Carolina is abnormally dry with moderately dry conditions being felt along the Atlantic coast.
