The Georgia Pecan Growers Association is hosting its annual educational conference and trade show in Tifton on Wednesday, March 29.
The conference will feature several presentations by industry professionals about topics such as pecan diseases, varieties, and genetics. In addition, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black will be speaking at the event.
Due to positive feedback from last year’s conference, attendees’ spouses will be granted free admission. There will also be special booths set up for spouses to take part in while growers attend the educational sessions.
While the actual conference will be held on March 29, there will be events on March 28. Dr. Lenny Wells from the University of Georgia will lead an orchard tour starting at 1:30 p.m. The annual welcome reception will take place on March 28 at 6 p.m. Both of these features are included in the registration fee.
Register for this event online at georgiapecan.org under the calendar tab.
