The Georgia Agribusiness Council (GAC) welcomed a new member to its team in late January. Maggie Wooten, a Georgia Southern University graduate, is the council’s new events and member services manager.
Wooten was raised on a farm, which sparked her interest in agriculture. She says her sister has also been active in the agriculture industry. She first heard about the position through her sister. Wooten feels her graphics background will be helpful in her new job since she will be assisting with the GAC’s new website.
Wooten’s responsibilities include organizing events and board meetings as well as handling member services and the member directory.
For more information or questions about future GAC events, contact Wooten at mwooten@ga-agribusiness.org.
